Excerpt: This Is the Season to Make You Mine

The Holiday season is almost here! To be fair, I’ve been in Christmas mode since November 1st and just this past weekend started decorating my house. But if we want to get official, we can use December 1st as the official start of the Holidays and what better way to get into the spirit than with some trope-filled Christmas novellas!

I joined 8 other Sapphic romance authors to offer you a delightful celebration with 9 sweet Christmas romance novellas that will bring light, love, warmth, and a little spice to your cozy winter nights.

Today I offer you an exclusive excerpt of my novella, titled “This Is the Season to Make You Mine.”

This Is The Season to Make You Mine Excerpt

“Wait!” Emma slammed both of her hands on the table. “You’re spending the holidays at Morgan’s house?”

Angie ignored Emma’s outburst. “Yeah, she didn’t want me to spend Christmas alone.”
She yelled in the direction of the register, “Zoey, listen to this!”
The barista glanced at them and then directed her gaze back to the customer. “Hot chocolate with candy cane sprinkles coming right up,” Angie heard her say as she turned away to work on the order.
“Zoey, this is important!” Emma yelled again. “Angie is meeting her in-laws for Christmas!”
The place was emptier than usual. Maybe because of the heavy snow from the night before or maybe because of the hour. Only a handful of people were around, and apparently Emma had decided they should all get a firsthand account of Angie’s personal life.
“What? Tell me everything,” Zoey said from across the room, never stopping her work.
“She is spending the entire Christmas break back home with Morgan and her parents. Her entire family.”
“Oh wow, that’s a big step. You’re not stressed out?”
Angie gritted her teeth but ended up raising her voice so Zoey could hear her all the same. “You both know I’m not dating Morgan.”
Zoey chuckled, but it was Emma who spoke up. “Umm, no. We know you both claim you’re not dating, but you clearly are.” She then turned around toward a middle-aged man sipping his coffee on the table next to them.
“They’d been living together for two years. They spend all their weekends together watching movies or hanging out, and every time anyone tries to ask them out, they reject the poor souls. So, what do you think?”
The random man stared at Emma, then looked at Angie and back at Emma again. “It sounds an awful lot like they’re dating or want to.”
“Ha!” Emma pointed at Angie, her finger almost touching Angie’s nose. “Told ya, even Todd can see it.”
“My name is Matt,” he mumbled, but Emma waved him away.
“Morgan is my best friend, and you know that.”
“First of all, ouch,” Emma said, putting a hand over her heart. “Second, it’s obvious you two like each other, so I don’t know why you still try to deny it.”
